    Brief summary of purpose:

    Human Resources Business Partner responsible for providing business knowledgeable HR expertise, employee relations and talent management support to business leaders. Consultative and proactive, this role’s focus is on building and sustaining relationships with Business Leaders, providing coaching and support and identifying barriers to organizational success (organizational design, training, recruiting, and compensation) to help drive and support appropriate change. Emphasizes knowledge of the business and works directly with Business Leaders to address their HR issues and ensure their resolution through center of expertise partners in Human Resources.  


    • Builds and sustains consultative and proactive relationships with business leaders.
    • Provides timely and effective advice on HR related matters to employees, managers and senior leadership.
    • Partners with other HR functional areas as needed to resolve internal customer issues.
    • Acts as a change agent in supporting integration efforts and driving cultural change.
    • Provides counsel to Employee Relations Specialist and employees and managers in order to address employment-related matters.
    • Stays current on state and federal laws and regulations related to employment law.
    • Serves as a consultant to employees and managers on a wide variety of issues such as training needs, poor performance, policy interpretations, career development, conflict management and others issues impacting productivity and morale.
    • Conducts thorough and confidential investigations in response to formal complaints.
    • Updates and assesses corporate policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Ensures business groups are trained on Fallon’s employment related policies as required by law.
    • Analyzes turnover data to identify potential trends; addresses concerns with management and makes recommendations for improving the work environment.
    • Partners with the HR team to ensure HR Compliance in all areas.
    • Diagnoses, designs and facilitates appropriate team development/intervention sessions to address areas of concern and/or continues development. Provides ongoing support and counsel to leaders to identify strengths and areas of development.
    • Conducts New Leader Acceleration sessions for all SR Leader hires within 90 days to identify areas of concern and develop appropriate actions to address.
    • Partners with Leaders to review/analyze engagement survey results. Identifies areas of strengths and opportunities year over year. Supports leaders in identifying areas of focus and building strategic plans to address concerns.
    • Provides guidance for the HR Training program and delivers training sessions to teams on key employee related topics
    • Supports the development and implementation of talent management initiatives and programs including performance management, employee and leadership development, talent assessments and succession planning.
    • Partners with Total Rewards to ensure compensation programs are designed and executed to drive appropriate behavior aligned with strategic business plans and implement recommendations.
    • Identifies situations across business units that require review and analysis with Total rewards (e.g., market issues for specific roles).
    • Ensures compliance with all aspects of Leaves of Absence and accommodations.
    • Partners with Leaders on all organization restructures/redesigns. Ensures new structure supports achievement of business strategy.
    • Challenges the status quo on roles and offer alternate solutions to current design.


    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline


    License/Certificaton: SPHR or SHRM-CP or PHR preferred


    Experience: 5-7 years related Human Resources Experience
