    Brief summary of purpose:

    Under the direction of the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager IV works independently and collaboratively with both internal customers and external stakeholders. The Product Manager IV will identify areas for opportunity within the Fallon Health Product Portfolio, build a strong business case which is approved by senior leadership and then manage the implementation of key strategic projects.


    • Define the product strategy and roadmap. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. PM IV will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects.
    • In support of the business case, the PM IV will perform qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and potential prospects.
    • Perform sales, trend, and profitability analysis. As the key business manager on the product, the PM IV will interface with industry leaders and strategic partners.
    • Ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals
    • Take a key role in development of forecasted sales projections
    • Work with decision makers in marketing communications and sales management to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market.
    • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
    • Develops Project Benefit Analysis to understand objectives, resource requirements and deliverables to determine assignment of projects
    • Propose an overall budget to ensure success.
    • Conducts project feasibility analysis and vendor selection management
    • Develops a team infrastructure necessary to accomplish the task at hand using standard project management tools and methodologies.
    • Facilitates internal and external meetings, documents project plans and project performance through status reports, minutes, etc.
    • Develop and execute on approved project plans.
    • Conduct lessons learned sessions to end each project.
    • Identifies and manages risks throughout the project and/or product lifecycleevelop the core positioning and messaging for the product
    • Serve as a positive role model for others within the department.Educate the department as to ongoing activities and ensure all are informed as to the current status of the assigned product lines.
    • Use the support of others within the department to assist in the day to day tasks on projects and to enhance their knowledgebase.


    10+ years in a healthcare setting and 7+ years as Product/Project Manager. Managed care experience with knowledge of plan operations, finance, product implementation, marketing and product management. Extensive knowledge of Commercial and/or Medicare products. Experience with, M/S Project, M/S PowerPoint, Visio, Sharepoint and Data base application knowledge preferred.


    Master’s Degree preferred

    National PMP Certification
