    Position Summary:

    The Senior PEGA Architect is responsible for providing general production support, meeting defined scope, target dates and budgets with minimal or no defects Utilize and participate in the full system development life cycle, per current Fallon Health SDLC standards.  Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Concentrate on providing innovative solutions to business needs.Accountable to provide required technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 support when necessary.  Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.

     

     

    Responsibilities

                       

    • Responsible for the design, architecture and delivery of PRPC-based solutions across multiple projects. Interfaces with internal development community
    • Assists in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work – Serves as a mentor
    • Facilitates estimation
    • Ensures architectural goals are met on all development projects.
    • Designs and develops applications to established practice, standards and specifications.
    • Defines and develops automated tests for an entire application including the setup and tear down of static test data
    • Analyzes specifications and designs, develops, and tests high quality solutions in support of defined business objectives.
    • Participates in activities of development lifecycle including estimation, coding, unit testing, deployment and maintenanc
    • Ensures accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, profiling and problem resolution
    • Troubleshoots application programs and provides timely response; performance-tunes these applications as necessary
    • Applies best practices in development.
    • Provides guidance to less experienced developers in designing and/or implementing solutions.
    • Provides technical knowledge and subject matter expertise as required.
    • Adheres to detailed deployment plans, schedules, timelines and milestones.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and
    • Pega v5.x/6.x/7.x Certification (CSA/CSSA) Preferred
    • 5+ years application development
    • 3+ years’ development experience in Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC)
    • Knowledge of PCS and GSPM a plus
    • Knowledge of using Connectors and Services, HTTP Requests and Responses, parsing and data mapping, SQL, and SOAP
    • JBoss App Server knowledge a plus
    • SQL/T-SQL a plus
    • Experience working in Class structure design, patterns, code reviews, performance tuning and providing technical guidance to team
    • Experience working in an agile Software Development project lifecycle
    • Java Knowledge a plus
    • Ability to work flexible hours to interact with off shore team and weekend testing or implementations or critical project emergency corrections that must be corrected before the morning
