    Position Overview:

    Increase membership in Fallon Health using various distribution channels. Build relations with brokers, consultants and employees.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and maintains strong and productive business relationships with Consultants, including firms not currently producing business with FH. Educates key constituents on FH capabilities and effectively positions value of FH solutions.
    • Manages complex negotiations. Positions products, rate levels and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue—focusing on the 50+ large group market.
    • Develops and executes sales and growth strategy for products in assigned territory and book of business.
    • Provides expertise in difficult renewals. Collaborates with retention sales and underwriting for renewals on sold groups.
    • Understand and explain FH financial arrangements and underwriting methodology in the CRC and Experience rated group market.
    • Call and develop leads for new business.
    • Manage RFP process to ensure completion.
    • Sell FH products through brokers or direct to employers.
    • Determine, understand and meet prospect needs.
    • Establish strong relationships with assigned brokers.
    • Ensure appropriate implementation of accounts, which includes completion of all necessary data entry, paperwork and special requests.
    • Provide required reports to management.
    • Assist in training activity as needed.
    • Represent FH at civic and business functions to promote FH image.
    • Collect information from prospective accounts to support database (Avenue).
    • Meet all product and selling skills training requirements.

    Qualifications

    Education: Four year college education, or equivalent, preferably in the field of Marketing.

     

    License: Massachusetts Life and Health Insurance Broker License or ability to obtain license within three (3) months of obtaining position.

     

    Certification: None

     

    Experience:  7-10 years background in healthcare sales or group insurance sales with proven track record of success is required. Existing relationships with brokers and consultants preferred.

     

    Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record Required
